Brief:  The existing building is dated and in need of refurbishment. Currently there is retail at ground floor and offices on the upper floors. We obtained planning approval to convert upper levels, and introduce a 2 storey rooftop extension to provide 24 student apartments with associated shared amenity space, whilst maintaining commercial space at ground level. The materials, scale and proportions were carefully considered to enhance this excellent corner plot and heritage asset.
